Expanded Thinking

Hey all You Fairy Friends!

I hope the Monday is starting out well for you.

Today's card is Higher Consciousness. The card's main meaning is "You are receiving guidance from your true self, your higher consciousness, which is one with the Divine universal wisdom. You are listening to love rather than fear."

As we have talked about before, there is a guidebook that goes along with each deck that gives your further insight on the cards. Today the insight begins to explain that we are getting better in tune with all the universe and we are actually getting better messages as the result. It suggests that perhaps we are clearing our minds better, maybe doing yoga or having more nature walks to become more in tune. Or maybe we have "put your foot down to the Universe and have adamantly decided to improve your life."

This notion that we put our foot down to God and said ENOUGH really cracks me up! Who puts there foot down to God? Really? That was my initial reaction.

Then I thought for a second and realized the very act of saying ENOUGH is a turning point. This is the "Okay I get it" phase.

We were built to be problem solvers. Look how man has evolved. Look at all the technology. It is in our DNA. So if we can develop technology that allow me to speak to people around the world at any given time with the click of the mouse and we can have cars that may fly someday, they why can we not straighten out our lives?

The simple fact of the matter is that we do not listen. Mostly to ourselves. We search for answers, picking stuff apart, looking for the deeper meaning. Looking for a better message. But like we have spoken of before, everything we need, ever, is right inside of us right now.

You might say, well I want to improve my living conditions. Where is the new house inside of me? The physical item might not be, but the ability to make a new house is there, right inside of you. The same goes for anything material or financial. The ability to manifest it all is right there within you.

The tricky one is love. I know that a lot of people are searching for it. They are looking for a mate or just the love of family and friends. But it seems that most are looking for love. The fact of the matter is it is right inside of you.

If you are so desperately searching for that love, then really you must take a real hard look at yourself, because you don't love yourself. It is that simple. And if your are having a hard time with the person that you see in the mirror each morning, what do you think the rest of the world is doing?

Like attracts like. It is a proven fact. You know the magnets and opposite poles and all of that. If you don't find yourself worthy of love than who else will? Initially that statement might sound cruel, but it is not really. But if you won't bother with yourself than who will?

Many moons ago when I was in management training for one of the fast food chains, I was having trouble getting my hourly shift responsibilities done. It was becoming a constant problem, to the point that the area supervisor sat me down. I knew I was in trouble, almost sweating it that I would walk out of the meeting with a job. He looked at me and asked "What are the qualities that you consider make up a good boss?" I answered, giving a list and my thoughts behind each quality. I saw him taking notes. It got quiet. He was taking more notes. Then, he tore of the bottom half of the sheet of paper and handed it to me. There printed in capital letters was the list of my answers. He said "Now put this on your mirror at home. Every morning while you are getting ready for work, read this list and remind yourself that you are all of these things. You expect these things out of your bosses, shouldn't your employees expect them out of you?" (Okay so I didn't get fired, but did leave the job when I ended up moving out of state).

The fact is we expect a lot from people, but do we expect them from ourselves? And when people don't come through with our "expectation" Do we blame them or us? We more than likely blame the other person, "because they just don't get me" or we blame ourselves with the martyr "I guess I will toil along forever because no one understands."

Blame and fault are strong words, ones that I do like like to use often along with guilt. But truly it is our fault. We are the ones to blame. But do not play the martyr and feel guilty. It really is about a shift in consciousness and the qualities that we expect from others should be reflected in ourselves. But it takes work.

Lots of work and the change won't happen overnight. We cannot demand that we change our selves. Like we cannot demand that someone else treats us differently. All that theory that the loudest gets served first is a bunch of BS. Because there is a price to pay for being demanding. Anyway, this why the whole "putting our foot down" thing is so funny. Do we look ourselves in the mirror and say, "I demand that you be smarter today!"? No of course not. We should look in the mirror and remind ourselves that we are very intelligent. See the difference?

So if you care to take a minute and make a list of the things that you think that you are missing from your life. Is it love, is it money, is it respect? Under those items list the qualities of those things like beauty, compassion, abundance, and caring. Each morning take your list and put "I AM" infront of each word and say out loud while looking in the mirror. "I am beautiful." "I am caring." "I respect myself." "I am worth it." Any word your chose has power for you. You will know.

Hey if you don't believe your own press who will? (don't you just love metaphors?!?!)

Today's affirmation is "I easily hear and understand the inner voice of spirit."

Have a great day and sprinkle extra fairy dust, you deserve it!

Being True to Ourselves

Happy Saturday Fairy World!

Today we are looking even deeper into a subject with the card Be Honest With Yourself. The card's main message is "This card indicates that you're hiding your true feelings and aren't forthright about an important topic. The fairies urge you to admit your true feelings to yourself."

We have a tough family time going on right now and while this situation has been brewing for a really longtime, I am finally able to digest, think, ponder and come to conclusions that I am okay with. The cool thing is that even in this small time, have come to those conclusions about my feelings has lifted a weight off of other things. It allows me to look at other things with slightly different eyes. It is very liberating actually!

So what about you? What situation are you just stashing in the back of your heart, leaving to fester. That is what it does you know, it festers and grows and grows and feeds the ego and suddenly it is not your true self that is in the driver's seat, but your wounded ego looking for comfort and revenge in its own way. Where do you think the saying misery loves company comes from?

So take a hard look at things and call it like you see it. It's okay, say it out loud in a room that you are just in. Sometimes the first step to action/acceptance is saying the words out loud. Try them on for size. See how they fit. Feel how it will be to change things if they don't. Act on it!
Just remember that the ego is in play here as well, so heed your actions carefully not to strike out at another. Walk that fine line.

In the end, you will feel better and everything will seem easier to deal with. Good luck!

Today's affirmation is "It's safe for me to be honest with myself and others. I speak my truth with love.

Enjoy your day...sprinkled with Fairy Dust!

That Little You Inside

Good Morning My Friends!

Welcome to a great Friday in our fairy world!

Today I picked an interesting card, Inner Child. The main message for this card is "Just as you take care of small children by listening to them, playing with them, and hugging them, so does your inner child yearn for nurturing. This card also asks you to have patience with yourself, as you are growing and maturing at your own pace."

The guide book suggest we should see ourselves as the perfect us, as we are children of God. Looking beyond our perceived flaws, what a concept!

This is interesting to me because in this commercial society we are bombarded with messages, things we should do for ourselves, buy for ourselves, acquire for ourselves because we deserve them. The essence of their message is true, we do deserve the best life we can make for ourselves, but where their message is flawed is that retail therapy is not the answer!

My kids do all kinds of things when they want attention. The usual occurs, they talk louder, ignoring any other conversation that might be taking place, maybe scream, maybe even start some other commotion with one of the others just to make them front and center. I know what they are doing and their actions are dually noted, with me as a parent trying to walk that fine line of not having the child feel neglected but also giving them a sense of self so that center of attention is not so important. Fine line, more like tightrope and no net!

Anyway, looking at our inner child, I think as individuals we are more brutal. We tend to push back, ignoring it's needs, pleads and cries. We actually try to squelch all existence of that child at all. We are forgetting who the child is!

Children need to exercise, mentally and physically. They need time to explore and an environment to do so and activities that will stimulate them. They have a natural creativity that has to be unleashed. That all being said, what about our inner child? Do we create a situation that our "little" us can thrive in or have we just shut it in the closet, feeding when necessary?

I think that freeing our inner child is akin to know our true selves. Simply that is it.

So let us take time to nurture the "little" us more, read more, contemplate more, enjoy more. We deserve it! Sprinkled with fairy dust of course!

Today's affirmation "I invest in myself by taking regular time to let go, play, and have fun."

Enjoy your Friday!

That's My Story and I Am Sticking To It!

Hello Fairy World Friends!

Onto a bright new day!

Today's card is Stand Your Ground. The card's main message is "The fairies ask you to make decisions based upon your honest feelings. Stick to these decisions, and don't allow outside decisions, and don't allow outside influences to cause you to waver."

Standing your ground is an equal to knowing yourself, your true self. I put it that way because we are all guilty of letting our egos act as our true selves. The more our egos are wounded, the more off kilter we become. So when we stand our ground, is it because we "know", the natural instinct or are we functioning from a place of ego that has to be right? Sometimes it is a hard distinction to make. At least I find it that way.

We have to make that split second decision every time where the origin of our feelings lie. Quite a task for sure, but it should get easier as we do it more.

I think that today's affirmation says it best, "I speak my truth powerfully and lovingly. I trust in my strong feelings, and stand my ground in following them."

Have a wonderful day sprinkled with fairy dust!

I Know I Can..I Know I Can

Up and AT 'Em Fairy World Inhabitors,

Time to sprinkle the Fairy Dust!

Today's card from the fairies brings us back to visit Affirmations once again. Let's remind ourselves what the card's main message, "To lift up your thoughts and energy, and to attract what you desire, use positive affirmations."

As we spoke about Affirmations earlier in the post "8 Ways to Be Positive" we did not dwell on the words, they actual little prayers we can/should say to ourselves that will feed our spirits and move us forward to manifesting our desires.

Some examples are:

If your desire is to always be in the best of health you could use "Every cell in my body vibrates energy and well being."

If you desire abundance you could use "I know that I deserve prosperity of all kinds and I find prosperity wherever I am."

For weight loss you might use "My body is the perfect weight for me."

You can take any desire and translate that into an affirmation that is perfect for you. This goes back to finding what that true desire is. We have spoken of this before. Actually if you took the time to explore and make a dream board, you have your affirmations right there in front of you!

The important thing to remember is to be positive! You cannot use "I think I will land 3 new accounts this month", won't work. Using "I hope I can land 3 new accounts this month", not a good choice either. Using "I know I can land 3 new accounts this month" is the right choice of words and the right mindset to be in!

Write some of your own. Say they to yourself. Make them a little chant, quietly. It's fun!

Say those affirmations and have a great day! Sprinkled with Fairy Dust!

See You in the Summer!

Good Morning To All in our Fairy World!

How are we today?

I had some great quiet time this morning and I asked what we needed to know today and I drew the card Summer. The cards main message "Everything that you're asking for becomes yours in the summertime."

Okay, so we have had a similar prediction for Spring and this threw me for a minute. Did this mean that we were getting put on a different time table?

Then I thought some more. Our original desires, things we asked for were not getting rescheduled so to speak. We have asked for more and that is what will materialize in Summer! Hooray for us we are building our confidence!

We are regrouping finding our true selves and finding our true desires and asking for more and more. We are manifesting machines! Sprinkled with Fairy Dust!!!

Keep it going, it only gets better from here!

Have a wonderful day in our Fairy World!

We Have a Birthday!!!

Good Morning Fairy World Inhabitors!

We have a birthday today...sprinkled with fairy dust!! Irene, my Mom, our very own designer of those delightful fairy treasures is celebrating her birthday today! Happy Birthday Mom!!!

Today's card is Be Yourself. We have seen this card before in the post My True Self. Let's review what the main message is, "This situation calls for you to be your authentic self, which is the basis for your personal power."

In the previous post we talked about our authentic selves and that just being is probably the best course to take. Here are some additional thoughts...

The guide book suggests that we let our guards down and trust our feelings that the situation will improve. Well, that is a mighty tall order! It also tells us to trust our inner guidance.

I, myself am almost a pro at the inner guidance listening. The only thing that really trips me up is when my ego flares and tunes all else out. I am learning though. I guess it all takes time.

What about you? Do you follow that inner voice, tried and true, or do you push it away? That inner voice is you, you just have to learn to listen!

Well, I hope you enjoy your day in our Fairy World...sprinkled with fairy dust!

I'm Asking! I'm Asking!

Good Morning Fairy World Inhabitors!!!

Welcome to another beautiful day in our fairy world! I hope you feel well rested because some little fairies have told me that this is going to be a fantastic day! Sprinkled with fairy dust.

Today's card is Ask for What You Want. The main message is "Let the Universe and other people know what you need". ***Note, for the purpose of conversations the Universe and God are interchangeable.***

The guidebook for the cards goes on to suggest that we have to spend time clarifying our desires and then we ask for them. Always end your request to the Universe with "this or something better. Thank you". You can vocally make your request in a quiet time of prayer, you can build a vision board (there are some great instructions here at Christine Kane's blog) or you can write each request down and put it in a "God Box". All three are great methods. Just know what you are asking for.

While searching to clarify your desires, be sure to refer to yesterday's post about True Feelings, because if you make, for instance "really cool car" as one of your desires, a Corvette is not going to show up. If you realize that you are seeking dependable transportation that you can take pride in, well anything can show up. Also, when I speak of "showing up", I am referring to the set of circumstances that always seem to click that brings you your end result.

The book also suggests we speak with others and let them know what we desire. This is not the "Honey I want a 10 bedroom mansion" talk, this is the "Honey, when it comes to you and me, I would like to work on xyz" talk. The important thing with this element is you have to be prepared to listen as much as you want to be heard.

So what does this all boil down to? COMMUNICATION!!! With yourself, with the Universe, with others. Sprinkled with fairy dust! Isn't life magical?

On a side note I have opened my personal etsy shop that you can find here. All of my goodies are mainly paper, or have some paper element do to my obsession! Take a peek, I have just added some new Captured Fairy Cards that I think you might like.

I am off to sprinkle my own brand of fairy dust, have a great day sprinkling yours!

True Feelings

Rise and Shine Fairy World Inhabitors!

It's a bright Monday morning, time to attack the world with abandon!

I pulled an interesting card this morning, during my quiet time it is Admit Your True Feelings To Yourself. The inscription on the card says "Be honest with yourself. Only you know what it is that you truly desire". The book also suggests that we should be our true selves, we should face our fears head-on and retain our integrity by following the path the we know is right for us. This is a whole lot to look at!

Thinking about what we truly desire, there is always a meaning behind an answer. For instance the person that says they always want to win the lottery or are they really saying they are looking for a life without financial worries and stress overall? The person that says they want to be famous or are they saying that they are looking for public acknowledgment that they are okay, because their self-esteem is lacking?

Truly this is a lot to tackle but always look behind want you want. That is your true self. Myself, I have always wanted the "it" product. Something that I have made that would sell like hotcakes at a craft fair or whatever. You know, strike real gold. I have tried many times, slapping different items together and have failed. What was the problem? I did not look behind for the true meaning. I made things, but did not have full confidence that they were wonderful. And that doubt gives off an aura that repels good things. Mix that with wanting to be accepted and it not happening I had a real mess on my hands!

So how did I solve this? I learned to love the things I made as they are an extension of myself. The only important things is that I am satisfied with the final outcome, how that product looks. I am proud of each piece. I may have some favorites but I love them all. And I am being more intelligent about how to sell my wares. I am not running to every craft fair to sell, I am being more choosy based on the venue and I am exploring a different approaches to reach people. Also, I am making things just to make them, not necessarily to sell them. Where has that gotten me? While I can tell you that life is a work in process, I have been invited to teach some classes at my local park district on card making. That is so cool! I am being true to myself and I feel like I am being sprinkled with magic fairy dust!

So look inside your self today what are your true feelings? Hash that out and put a new plan in action. Not one where you just settle, but one where you feel the fairy dust too. It rocks!

Have a good day and be your true self in our Fairy World!
