This is a new card for us, Do Some Research. The card's main meaning is "You need more information about this situation. Look further into it before proceeding."

In the guidebook it explains that we are looking into something or maybe on the verge of something and quite frankly, it is not quite right. What is a Fairy World Inhabitor to do?

Well for starters pay attention. The Universe always sends us more messages pointing us in the right direction and yet sometimes we just miss it. We have to talk to people, interview them even about our ideas and somewhere along the way you will know it. You will hear the mental "click" that ties it all together.

Funny things is that "click" might just change all of your plans, but that is okay because you are now headed in the right direction. Enjoy it and be grateful that your received your message so clearly. You are really becoming intune with the Universe and your place in it!

Making Room for the New

It's Wednesday!

The middle of the week and it has been okay so far.

Today we have something different to contemplate. The card that was drawn is Good-bye to the Old, Hello to the New. This card's main message is "You've finished one part of your life, and now a new and even better part is beginning."

This is so cool!

The guide book suggests that one chapter of our life is over and it is time to turn the page. What do you think that refers to? Could it be the summer season, as it just started a short time ago? Or is it a little more complex like a job change or a new business.

In traditional tarot the card "Death" is used. Many people that have reading done are a little put off, taking the card at face value. But it like many things is a metaphor for life. A lot of times, especially in the larger matters of life, we need an old situation to basically end before the new one can begin. Thus the symbolism of the Death card.

So going back to the guide book, there is a reassuring note that we are ready and are equipped with the wisdom to be taken on the next leg of life's journey. So..

Positve Thoughts

Hello Fairy World Inhabitors!

Hope all is going well for all of you!

Today we talking about the card Affirmations again. The card's main message is "To lift up your thoughts and energy, and to attract what you desire, use positive affirmations."

Okay, so we have established what affirmations are and how really important they are to this whole process called life. I have shared affirmations that I have seen and I have written a few myself, they are really merely vehicles for the true feeling that we are trying to convey. But what comes next? And what do we do if they do not seem to be working?

Affirmations are best used when they deliver laser sharp focus on a particular situation. Sure we can use general ones like "I am receiving more abundance" or "My life is filled with love." These are both great things to draw to you. But abundance for instance might take form in more flowers in your front yard. They would be beautiful, but if you are looking for a job, you need a little more than flowers. So being a little more specific could really enhance the situation, like using "I am receiving abundance through job offers." The difference might be subtle, but way more powerful.

We have now established what the affirmations should be and we can chant them over and over to ourselves, but that is not the most effective use of our energies either. We have to be focused, really really focused!

I was listening to a seminar by Abraham-Hicks this morning. And one of the main points was holding our focus on our affirmations and what we desire. It is their theory that we cannot manifest our desires if we are not, even for a brief time, "living" our end result and we cannot do that if we do not focus.

So here is the exercise. First start with the affirmation, for example "I am receiving abundance through job offers" and hold that thought for 17 seconds. At 18 seconds picture yourself doing the ideal job and hold that for 17 more seconds. At 35 seconds while picturing your self doing the ideal job, start to feel the emotion that doing that job might bring like joy and hold that for 17 more seconds. At 52 seconds add the final step to it all fishing the scenario in your mind. The sense of relief that you have a steady paycheck now would be a good example and hold that for the final 17 seconds. There you have it you have emotionally tied the affirmation to you and now it is just more than words.

From here you will go on to say the affirmation daily or whenever you wish and the true impact of the whole thing will always be with you. This is really powerful stuff!

I Am Therefore I Am

Happy Tuesday Fairy World Inhabitors!

It is time to explore another day with the fairies.

As I have told everyone before, when I pick a card each day, I was what the collective We needs to know. Then I shuffle three times and draw a card. After that I blog about the card I draw. Today's card is Express Your Individuality.

This card has the main meaning "Allow your true self to shine because you are awesome!"

We have seen this card before. We have discussed it at length. So now my question to you is, Who still isn't on board? Obviously someone still needs help with this one!

I can give you many examples on how to carry out the expression part. We have talked about hair color, clothing and even nail polish. So that is not the problem. I think where we are lacking is in the knowing you are awesome part!

You are you know and so am I! That is just what makes us us...our awesomeness. (Watch me butcher grammar as well as basic English) There is a saying about an arrogant or conceited person that "they believe their own press too much." But what about those that don't believe it at all? And the other question is why?

I do not believe that there is a textbook answer to the question. Simply some feel they are not worthy. No one can change that but each individual themselves. The rest of us can lend support!

Everyone is AWESOME and I love you all! There is my support!

So everyone, look in the mirror and tell yourself how awesome you are! And mean it!

Go Outside Already!!

Happy Monday to all the Fairy World Inhabitors!

Today were are being reminded that we are not spending enough time outside. Today's card is Connect with Nature. The main message is "You're rejuvenated and inspired by spending time outdoors."

Here in the Chicago area, it is finally almost warm today. At 9:00 am it was 71, which is just amazing as I think it only was that warm one day the entire last week.

So this rant about the weather equates to this, we need to go outside. Cut the lawn, weed, plant, just sit in the grass and enjoy the many wonderful gifts that nature provides to us.

So head on out and enjoy! Our days with this part of the season are numbered and you would not want to be sorry that you missed them!

I'd Like to Teach the World...

Good Friday to all of the Fairy World Inhabitors!

This week certainly made swift business of itself!

Today we have a card that is totally new Spiritual Teacher. It's main meaning is " Your life purpose involves teaching others about healing and spirituality."

Well, this is certainly an interesting proposition! Have we really ever considered ourselves spiritual teachers? I mean we are always receiving messages from Spirit and we should be conveying them, but the teaching aspect I never considered.

The guidebook suggests we could give lectures or be a paid counselor. I do not know about you, but that is not my speed either. I think for me personally, I would rather teach healing from God through my art. My creations could probably speak louder and more profoundly than just simple words.

I love beautiful things and my prayer is that I continue to create beautiful things that speak to others about love, hope, faith and peace. I pray that my creations convey the very essence of God.

I think that we can all approach this teaching idea with a level of comfort for each of us. We can find our own little niche to convey our message.

So now, please take some quiet time and ask God to be your muse. The fairies will help with this to. Set your goals in mind and lay out your ideas. Pray for the assistance to make your message sing out in your own special way! I am sure that not only will we reach others, but the fulfillment that we all will feel will be overwhelming and lovely!

Something New, Something Old

Happy Day!

Today we are taking another look at the card Business Venture. This card's meaning is "Trust and follow through on a new business venture."

If you are anything like me you are always looking for something new. I once joked that I wish I could sell my ideas. But I do know my self well enough to know that if I am looking for something me, I am bored with what I have started. So what brings on boredom?

The very meaning of this card gives us insight to this. Trust. The guidebook says we should trust our intuition with respect to our career/business. I think that is the key. We still do not trust ourselves.

We do not believe that what we have come up with is great. We make a small effort and the world doesn't set on fire so it is no good. Lack of trust. I know the ins and outs of this situation personally. Knowing the problem is halfway to the solution. So how do we fix it?

I can say believe in ourselves and that is very true and very textbook. I think this time we need more than a self induced cheering section. We have to go back to the drawing board and create and create and create. We have to push ourselves so far that our work will not even seem like work. It will be a glorious exercise of our creativity and individuality. The outcome of this will be an end product that will exemplify our very being in all of its magnificence for all to see.

The Key to Healing

Greetings Fairy World Inhabitors!

Time for a weekend of rest and relaxation!

Today we have drawn the card Emotional Healing. The card gives us the message..."As you heart heals of old emotional pain, you receive new blessings and love."

This card and its' meaning raises the question just how do we deal with past hurts?

We really have two options. We either let it be and see the whole thing take over our lives or we can confront the situation and deal with it head on.

At least by facing the situation head on we had the opportunity to put it to rest. And this does not always mean calling a person up, the "wrong doer" and reading them the riot act. This could be something as simple as keeping a journal and letting all your emotions and feeling spill out within the pages that are yours alone.

Should you feel really comfortable with doing so then by all means, discuss the situation with the other party if possible. The thing you have to remember is that you have to be prepared to hear what the other person has to say about the whole thing. You could get any response from them not even realizing that they have hurt your feelings to hearing that you might have actually caused them pain as well.

Whatever method you choose, the key to healing is getting it out, in one form or another and letting it go. We cannot let past hurts rule our life. We have so much more living to do than existing under the shadow of past hurts.

So think about it and let it all out!

5 Ways to Expand Your Comfort Zone

Hello Fairy World Inhabitors!

Today we picked a card called Travel. It's main meaning is "An upcoming trip proves to be life-changing in positive ways."

The guide book talks about vacations and job change and moving, that sort of obvious travel type things and then one thing caught my eye. Step out of your comfort zone.

Leaving our comfort zone can very well be a trip. It causes us to think and act and live differently than what we are used to. The results can be interesting. But even further we have to consider why we do have this comfort zone.

Well for one, the name speaks for itself...it's comfortable. It is the place where we can exist without question. The flip side of the comfort zone is we get complacent and stagnant. Like water sitting in a jar, covered and never shook we get old and moldy!

So let's shake things up! Here are 5 ways to expand your comfort zone.

1. For 7 days include one food per day that you don't eat. Pick something good. Pick something that you'd normally pass up. See if your tastes have changed.
2. Pick out a new polish and wear it. Something out of the ordinary. If you are a pink person go with a red or an orange. Or be really daring and go for blue!
3. Wear that shirt. You know the one that you bought on a whim and now cannot see what you were thinking? Take it out of the closet and show it some life. There was a reason it caught your eye in the first place.
4. Read something different. If you are used to and obsessed with reading a particular genre, it is time to change up. Explore mysteries, romances, historical or even (gasp) flip to non-fiction!
5. Say hello to a stranger every day for a week. You will be making their day and you might meet some new friends.

These five tasks might seem silly and sort of old hat. They were not intended to be difficult. They are meant for you to experience some new things. As you try these thing you will find that your comfort zone will expand and your life will be fuller!

Life is Too Short!

Good Morning Fairy World Inhabitors!

I hope that all is well since my last post!

I am straying away from my usual procedures for a simple message today. Life is Too Short!

Now, we all say it and deep in our hearts we all know it, but I really do not think that we act on it. We don't do things enough. Laugh enough, love enough, live enough. Instead we live with the triplets, woulda, coulda, shoulda. Know them?

Death occurs everyday and you know that we are all going to die at sometime. That is the given. The saying "The only things that you have to do in life are die and pay taxes" comes to mind. But that is not totally true. We have to live. We have to do more than exist!

I know that living hurts sometimes and it is not the most pleasant experience yet not living, really living we miss so much more. The intensity of the joy that living brings by far outweighs the pain that life throws at us occasionally!

Savor each moment. Make living that delicious meal that you just cannot push away until each bite is devoured, and then order the dessert!

When we are born we know two things. We are to live and we are to die. The details and timing of dying are out of our hands. The details of the living are what our lives should be about!

Owning It

Good Morning Fairy World Inhabitors!

Hope your day will be all the you expect and more!

Today we talk a little more about the card Be Yourself. To review, this card's main message is "This situation calls for you to be your authentic self, which is the basis for your personal power."

In the past, when we have pulled this card we have explored who we really are and about letting our guard down and listening to our inner guidance. Today let's look at being ourselves creatively.

Working in a creative situation and expressing myself through it there is a fine line that you walk. You make things that you love and that are really different and yet sometimes they do not appeal to others. So you re-arrange, take a look at what others are doing and suddenly you are making your own copies of other peoples things. And you might sell a few more since they seem familiar, but not a huge amount. But not overwhelmingly so. At some point you stop and write the whole mess off as you just are not able to do something creatively in a successful manner. But what I don't think that we realize is that it was our attitudes that stopped the flow in the first place.

I believe that when we made our original item, we put it out there with a tentative vibe behind it. Like our announcement was "Here is my item, I think." Somehow we are so unsure and unable to "own" our creativity that we do not believe in it. So when we are not successful and we switch gears to a copy mode, that only does fairly well because still we are not really "owning" the item we are merely producing.

When we are talking about handmade things and sales, well it is true that people tend to flock to the familiar. But, the things that are familiar once were not. They were the new, out there, never been seen item, that had to grow on others. They were the item that when first made, somebody "owned". The creator's vibe was so strong and so proud that it just drew people to them and that item.

I guess it comes down to this, when we express ourselves, however that maybe we cannot be tentative about it. We have to own it. It is ours. It is not just something we did. It is our creation. It is us! We have to put it out there with confidence. And with that confidence we know that while all may not love your creativity they way you do, or even view it in the same manner, that is fine, because you know it is great!

I have an affirmation today, "Anything I create is wonderful because it is an expression of me!"

Have a Little Faith

Good Day!

I hope that all my fellow fairy world inhabitors are doing well today!

Today we have the card Business Venture. This card has a main meaning of "Trust and follow through on a new business idea or a career opportunity."

I love when we see this card. It is a reminder that it is "All Good." It is the reassurance that the professional choices that we have made will begin to come to fruition. We have made good choices.

I think that this card also serves as a reminder that we can take steps big or small when that "great idea" comes along to make things happen. It might be a simple as apply for another position in another department at work. Or it maybe signing up to sell for a direct sale, home party type company. Or it might even be deciding to offer a service part time out of your home. So you make a flyer and start handing them out. What ever that step is, it is a big one and Good For You for taking it!

This card reminds us about faith as well. As all good ideas are born somewhere either direct messages from the Universe about a specific thing or from a hint that the Universe gives that leads us in another direction. In either scenario it really takes faith to act. So again, Good For You!

Since it might seem with most things, the going might not be the easiest, seeing that our inspiration could be called Divine Intervention, the likelihood of some measure of success is almost guaranteed.

So now, fellow fairy world inhabitors let us march on, each with our own specific goal, following the rainbow to the pot of gold. There is enough for everyone! And sprinkle fairy dust along the way, so the ones that follow behind have a sparkly adventure as well!

Nature is Calling

Hello Fairy World Inhabitors!

The weather has been beautiful in our neck of the woods and I hope that it has been the same for you. Although I believe that we are moving straight into summer. Here is Chicago we seem to be a 2 season town, winter and summer. Spring and fall are just rumors really!

So today's card is Connect with Nature. The card's main message is "You're rejuvenated and inspired by spending time outdoors."

This card could not have come at a better time!

As I have said it has been beautiful out. We have had our lawn cut three weeks in a row and it looks like a carpet overall. Lush and green. My peonies are sprouting up and already have buds on them promising some wonderful flowers in the coming weeks.

I look forward to planting my vegetable garden and enjoy the fruits of my labor. (I hope!)

The world of nature is so grand, how could you knot be inspired? I watch all the lush colors as things come to life and it sends my senses singing!

So take time, plant some plants, walk barefoot in the grass and enjoy all that nature has to give!

So what does this tell us? The guidebook suggests that we have been giving a lot of thought to our dreams and desires (we have been putting our orders in) and now in summer we will see the reality of those dreams come true.

Good Morning Fairy World Inhabitors.

Welcome to Monday! I know that it is going to be a super week!

Today's card is Ask For What You Want. The card's main message tell us, "Let the Universe and other people know what you need."

So the guide book suggests that our wants are like ordering food. It does not appear until we place the order. And we should not place our order until we really know what we are hungry for!

So what do we really want? What does our "order" reflect in our lives?

I could list a whole bunch of things, this or that, but to me the essence of it all is this. I am putting in my order for all living things finding peace and comfort.

An affirmation that I have written for today is, "All I need is given to me, I just need to ask."

Easy Does It

Good Morning Fairy World Inhabitors!

Today let's jump right in. We have pulled the card Easy Does It. The card's main meaning is "Stop trying so hard to control everything and all the doors will open for you."

So, we need to be more laid back do we?

This is so probably true. I think that we really need to look at the situations that we try to control and discover why. Why is it so important that something goes precisely the way we want it to?

The guidebook suggests fear. We have to control a situation because we fear an outcome other than the one we have envisioned. Okay I get this one. But now I wonder why we are so worried about any other outcome aside from our chosen one.

Is it that we will get our feeling hurt? Will we not get the particular item that we want? Will someone not act the we we believe they should? So is it fair to say that it ultimately about us?

Boy, I am guilty of this as much as the next person. Compared to some people I know, I am an amateur, but I have had my moments of needing to have the upper hand. But even though I have done it more than once, I find at the end of the day that the control that was so necessary was more work and more tiring than the other possible outcomes to the situation.

So I think we need to go back to the fear issue. What are we so afraid of? That has to be discovered with each situation, but what I really believe what we will discover is that our ego is crying out. Our ego is hurt.

I also know that when our ego cries out, we are in the midst of losing our vision of our true selves. Losing is a strong word, how about ignoring? We are ignoring our true selves.

Because simply if we are in tune with the four basic rules (be good to yourself, be good to others, learn our lessons,take notes and love God) we should come out all right in any situation. Then we have nothing to be afraid of so no need for control.

That being said, we can do all of this and on the surface an outcome is not exactly preferable and maybe hurts our feelings. Well, we have to remember that hurt feelings are a hurt ego. We have to them step back and look at the lesson we have to learn.

Take a deep breath fairy friends, we are learning a lot and putting a lot into practice. It will get easier!

Good Morning Fairy Friends!

Hope all is well in your corner of this Fairy World!

Today we are going to switch it up a bit. We are going back to using the "Magical Messages from the Fairies" We have used this deck before and it is time for a change.

Today's card is Express Your Individuality. This card's main message is "Allow your true self to shine because you are awesome!"



So what does it mean to be an individual? Websters defines it as "existing as a distinct entity." Actually that is really a textbook answer. We all knew that! But what does it really mean?

Our little cartoon up there is the epitome of individual! To me being an individual is being what you want to be. It is a sense of style, how we work and how we present ourselves to the world. There are so many options!

That being said, we have to remember that we do co-exist in this world with a bunch of others. So I guess that we should not be anti-social even though we are individuals. Boy isn't that tough! We have to stand out but fit in.

How do we achieve the perfect balance? My first thought was to say "I don't know." But then a flash went through my head. Respect!

If we are all going to strive to be individual, we cannot judge others as they are different from us. We have to respect that other peoples individuality exists in addition to ours. We also have to respect ourselves to show our true selves and shine the way we were meant to.

So for today, do something to show what you really are about. Mismatch socks, tease your hair standing straight up, talk about fairies to a stranger! Let your self shine!

We've Got To Move It!

Let's start off today with some music, it is the theme to our post...



Today's card is Body Movement. This card's main message is "Your body wants to express itself through movement. Listen to your body, and it will tell you what kind of movement it craves."

We need to get up and get shakin'! lol It has been a long hard winter and we need to remove the cobwebs to get ready for spring and summer, the growth seasons of the year.

How should we do that? Dance to the radio in your home. Take a walk everyday. Take a class. play with your kids. Just get up and get moving.

I also read that the more we incorporate exercise into our lives, the lower our resting heartrate will be. And that is a good thing!

So get up and Move It!

Today's affirmation is "I lovingly pay attention to my body's needs."

Now onto today's card which is Positive Expectations. We have visited this card before, but let's review the card's main meaning which is "Keep up your hopes, dreams, affirmations, visualizations, and prayers, as they will be wonderfully manifested right now. Don't quit five minutes before the miracle occurs!"

Everytime I see this card the last part of the main meaning always gets me. Don't quit five minutes before the miracle occurs! This is so easy to do, quit I mean. But why?

Maybe we are short sighted. Maybe we are just blind to the "Big Picture". Maybe when set set our expectations, hopes, dreams and etc. we are forgetting that we should be focusing on the essence of the dream. What is our true self looking for when we dream for something specifically?

Like dreaming about winning the lottery for example. We have talked about this before. Is the essence of the dream to win the lottery to be rolling in money and be on TV as the latest lottery winner, or is the essence of the dream to have a life with more ease and a sense of comfort? So when we do not win the lottery, but get a promotion at work has our dream come true? Yes and no. If we were looking at the notoriety and the big pile of cash, well then no, a job promotion is not going to cut it. If we were looking for ease and comfort, yes, a promotion supports that dream.

And that is the other important thing that we have to look at. Dreams don't really come true in just one event. Life is not just one event. Life is a series of events that is called living. So in turn our dreams come true in a series of events as well.

This is why to me, the not giving up five minutes before statement rings so true, because we are always in the middle of our dreams coming true, just in bits and pieces!

Today's affirmation is "I am safe, confident, and secure. I feel joy about my future." I would personally add, "I am living my future!"
